35th Taste of the Islands Winners Announced

 

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) announced the winners of the 35th Taste of the Islands.  This year’s event featured 15 restaurants from Sanibel and Captiva.  The winners were selected by a three member panel of judges that voted on a variety of categories while those in attendance voted for the “People’s Choice Award.”

“We are excited by the turnout for Taste of the Islands.  Everyone enjoyed the food and live entertainment,” said Debra Neri, event co-chair. “Thank you to everyone who attended and supported CROW’s mission of saving wildlife, especially the participating restaurants and volunteers who made it all possible.”  

Taste of the Islands Winners:

Best Appetizer: Thistle Lodge - Scallop Pork Belly
Best Meat: Thistle Lodge – Lamb Lollipop
Best Seafood: IL Cielo – Pan Seared Dayboat Scallop with a Corn Relish, Shaved Cucumber & Citrus Aioli
Best Dessert: Love Boat Ice Cream – Salty Jack Ice Cream

Best Appetizer: Shima at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa - Shima Roll
Best Meat: Dunes - Prime Rib Steak Slider
